Kini guanya menjadi bagian rute wisata budaya.
Mandrònius is a giant of the Gascon mythology of the Val d'Aran, a man about three metres tall who lived in a cave near Betlan. He led the valley's people against the Romans and won several battles. He married an Aranese woman and had a daughter; when the Romans carried off the valley's women, he wrecked their camp and sent the soldiers' ears to Rome. Accounts of his death differ: a peaceful end in his cave, or murder by the people of Garòs. A farmer reportedly found his skeleton in the late 19th century, and the skull was kept for a while in the Garòs church tower. Today his cave is part of cultural tours.
