Drudwyn is a hunting hound of Welsh mythology, one of the Cŵn Annwn, who in the tale of Kilhwch and Olwen is indispensable for hunting the boar Twrch Trwyth.
In Welsh mythology Drudwyn is one of the Cŵn Annwn, the hounds of Annwn. He is described as having red ears and a white body. Guest's translation calls him the whelp of Greid the son of Eri, while the German Wikipedia calls him the young dog of Greid and a son of Eri. In the tale of Kilhwch and Olwen, Drudwyn is part of the near-impossible tasks: the boar Twrch Trwyth cannot be hunted without him. No leash can hold him except the leash of Cwrs Cant Ewin, and according to Kai only a leash made from the beard of Dillus Varvawc can bind him. Only Mabon the son of Modron can hunt with him. After Arthur decided to seek Drudwyn, the hound took part in the hunt of Yskithyrwyn Penbaedd together with the two dogs of Glythmyr Ledewic, though that boar was finally slain by Cavall, Arthur's own dog. In the hunt of Twrch Trwyth, Eli and Trachmyr led Drudwyn. The German Wikipedia summarises this by saying Drudwyn caught Twrch Trwyth for Mabon ap Modron so that Mabon could snatch the comb and scissors from the boar.
