Dalam folklor Pulau Man (Isle of Man), fenodyree adalah makhluk gaib berbulu, sejenis peri (Manx: ferrishyn), yang kerap mengerjakan pekerjaan berat untuk manusia, mirip brownie di Skotlandia dan Inggris. Ia mengangkut balok batu besar dan memotong rumput padang dengan kecepatan luar biasa, sehingga dijuluki yn foldyr gastey, "si pemotong rumput yang gesit". Hadiah pakaian justru membuatnya pergi. Joseph Train dan J. F. Campbell mengartikan namanya "yang berbulu". Ada penulis yang menyebutnya raksasa yang lebih kuat dari manusia, tetapi I. H. Leney menyebut tingginya dua kaki. In the folklore of the Isle of Man the fenodyree is a hairy supernatural being, a kind of fairy (Manx ferrishyn), that often does heavy work for people, comparable to the brownies of Scotland and England. It hauls huge blocks of stone and cuts meadow grass astonishingly fast, earning the name yn foldyr gastey, 'the nimble mower'. A present of clothes, however, makes it leave. Joseph Train and later J. F. Campbell glossed the name as 'the hairy one'. Some authors call it a giant stronger than any man, while I. H. Leney gives its height as two feet. One tale makes it a former knight of the Fairy Court, changed into a satyr-like shape as a penalty for courting a mortal girl of Glen Aldyn and missing the harvest festivities. Its best-known story, 'The Fynoderee of Gordon', was printed by Sophia Morrison in 1911. The de article adds a tale of it trying to carry water in a sieve.
